Fuel Tank Straps

And another, once @gookah has fitted a set to his as a practice he can do mine
When it comes to practice fitting these I reckon there is only 1 man for the job.
I bet Mazza can fit these really fast by now.
Maybe he should spend a weekend at the zedshed and we could form an orderly queue.
He would soon get his money back.

What about a countrywide tour and home fitting service :eek::eek:=))=))

You should call them Corona Straps Malc, then everyone will remember when they got them ..............................................

Tony.

If you need to make sure you sell them all just say you get a free toilet roll with each purchase.

Ok Stephen. Will do.

I haven’t chased the company since the order went in, as In the current climate they probably have enough problems to contend with.
I’m sure they will get them done as soon as they can without me putting any additional pressure on them.

ok

And welcome to the forum :welcome:

Fitted mine today. Perfect fit and makes a daunting job so easy. Thanks for all your efforts sorting this out.

For all the Z3M community.......Look what arrived this morning......

These are only on loan for which I am extremely grateful, and will be returned.......
( so tempting to have an auction though =))=)))

I can now get the measurements that I need off these, and get on with producing the modification parts I need to adapt mine for the Z3M.

I will be having 15 sets of my ones modified of which two have already been reserved.

Just to clarify, the offside strap (top one) is no different , the nearside strap is the one being modified, and the small canister strap (the bottom one) is still available from BMW, so I am informed, so I wont get involved in supplying this one.

Can I have a set please too. Not for an M, just a 2002 2.2 roadster. PM me when you are ready and let me know how to pay you etc.

Pm sent

For the Z3M people, weather permitting I will get up to Banbury tomorrow and fit a set to Marks’ Z3M.
Just need to make sure that there are no accessibility issues on the near side strap before I sell any.

The offside strap is the same as the Z3 so no real issues with fitting that one.

I will get some pictures and work out a fitting guide. Pelican Parts show a procedure for removing the canister, which will need to be done, so I am hoping with it moved out of the way, the new strap with the additional components, can be installed without too much hassle.

This is the Z3M kit.....

Of the 15 sets I have converted, 10 are now reserved.

I realise this a three year old thread but are there any of the straps still available?
On trying to find out the source of an annoying rattle under my Z3, I discovered a well rotten tank strap, passenger side (RHD) and am having trouble sourcing a replacement.
can anyone help?
Many thanks.
