FUEL SHORTAGE

The Gov't really are a bunch of $%**s 1st to advise everyone to fill up so now were getting fuel shortages and to top that advising the public to stockpile fuel in jerry cans so breaking the law and *issing off the fire safety bods!!! :ymapplause:

No date has been set for any strikes as yet.

Don't think I would be too pleased if my neighbour was stockpiling fuel :-o

Tim.

im afraid the damage is done now.

we will be out of fuel next week, and the strike probably wont take place.

just glad im working on the car over easter and not travelling.

its doom and gloom for next weekend.

:D

My understanding was that they voted to allow the union to call a strike if they needed to as part of the pay negotiations ie to give the unions more bargining chips. The unions would not call for a strike unless the pay dispute esculated and they would give plenty of notice of a strike if it was called.

Typical politcal stupidity. I wonder how much a back hander that MP got for suggesting we should stockpile now ~x(

The drivers will be on overtime, the fuel companies are quids in and the government of course gets it tax earlier from stockpiling. but who is the most stupid though when the general public act like puppets all the time (or should that be muppets).

7 days notice of strike day must be given if it goes ahead.

BS

as i said, the strike will have no say in this.

the damage is done and the seed planted.

I'll do my usual and wait until around 3am to stroll down the road in the 330 to fill up with some Momentum.

I've already warned SWMBO that if they have none, we'll have to use the veggie-powered Escort at the weekend. She's not impressed :ymdevil: .

The media is not helping. They are showing petrol stations that have 10+ cars waiting on the road outside. I've only seen slightly longer queues than normal. I've only seen one station with a car waiting on the road outside. All the other stations' users were waiting on the forecourts.

Who's this then....... and the roof is up......... queuing in Macclesfield

We have loads of the stuff.........not cheap but we got it........... :D

NB, I am getting this 'log in' malarkey now as well.... :-?

I'm not convinced by the video footage. :-o

Most people complain that Health and Safety blights their lives primarily because it's a chore and not something that requires anything more than limited knowledge and common sense. The footage suggests that we're facing Armageddon if agency drivers working for less take over.

I have just come past a car wash and a bit notice on the entrance said

WATER SHORTAGE - PLEASE PANIC WASH :D

We seem ok up here for fuel though.

So the latest news is

"Fuel strike over Easter ruled out" and "Fuel drivers hours rules relaxed"

Lets just hope they enjoy all that extra overtime pay :ymdevil:

Darwins Law has struck already!
A woman living in an expesive part of York decided to play decant petrol in the kitchen!
40% burns and now in Pinderfields
Sorry no sympathy from me!
Just worried that people with this amount of intellegence managed to pass a driving test! :-s

not wired right imho.

Had to do the shopping at Tesco yesterday so as it was sunny took the Z3 and noticed that the petrol station wasn't that busy so decided to fill up. A member of staff was stopping and asking each driver "Petrol or diesel?" Me: "Petrol" and the reply: "Sorry but we've got no unleaded but we have got Momentum". Me: "That'll do nicely, thank you" :D
