I was going to PM you when I got back to see where you've been. My wife and I are taking Hugh to dinner and then to the airport to Philly. Its at an end now mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm It won't be easy to say goodbye. FrankieI've really enjoyed your exploits guys. Well done and may Frankie have many more years of pleasure from his new M!
Safe trip home Hugh.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! How could I not have brought along the TEE SHIRT???????????????????????? Oh NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!Hey good to see that face again @FRANKIE hope you both have a fantastic week and get that tee shirt on. !
We flew from Philadelphia to San Deigo but there was a stop in Houston. We went on to San Diego, then started driving back to Egg Harbor Township, NJ. Our first stop was Las Vegas. FrankieI'm confused!!! If your going from Austin in Texas to Las Vegas, what the hell are you doing on the 15??????
In retrospect, the clutch seems to work just fine now. I think our foot was hitting the left foot rest and not allowing the petal to go to the floor so there was another half inch to go. Once we realized this, we placed our foot a little further to the right on the petal to avoid the foot rest and the clutch petal went down the extra distance and everything seemed fine. It also might be possible that the car sat for a few months and the dmc was a little stiff. Seems to work fine now. No problem now. And surprise, surprise, the guy was from Jersey City, New Jersey,(in north Jersey across the Hudson River from New York)I love these two pics, the sales guy must have thought, what a pair of loons
Hugh really surprised me with the ease he showed driving over here. He said that he had a lot of experience on the continent and it certainly showed. AS for the weather, I still can't believe it. We ran into some very light showers about 60 miles from the Grand Canyon, not enough to stop and put the top up. Its a funny thing though. We couldn't get over the nice hot weather but it was so nice and hot, we started to get burned and Hugh, with his white phosphorescent Welch skin, started to look like a cooked lobster. We were forced to put the top up for safety sake even though we hated to do so. The weather continued to remain incredibly beautiful throughout the rest of the trip and stayed that way even to the trip to take Hugh to the airport. He's on the jet now as I am typing this. God bless him, What a Great Guy!!!!!!!!!!!Frankie must be over the moon with that deal and the car looks excellent.
@hugh it looks as if you have mastered that art of driving from the passenger side and changing gear with the other hand, enjoy your drive across the states and great weather for it.
