Got some clear coat on the spoiler today but didn't have to time to complete the job, so during next week I'll get some more and flat it off before final coat(s) next week end. Looking good so far.

Not very comfy Mike, so it's been relegated to the top of the cabinets tonight.;)

There are a couple of imperfections to be honest Mark but you can't see them from admiring distance.;)=)) I'm happy with it all things considered.

I thought I saw one from one of the pictures Tony, but didn't like to say incase it was a trick of light in the camera. Did you degrease the spoiler before you started spraying?

I always used to wipe anything I was spraying with thinners before I started to spray.

Me too Mike, but if you're using cans you never know what type of thinners to use. Brake cleaner is a great de greaser.

I think also Tony that there is a fundamental problem with rattle cans, in that the paint in them becomes electrically charged as it leaves the can and attracts any dust that is in the air. Probably fibres from your clothes. This is a problem that has plagued DIY'ers for years, The clothes we wear are made from manmade materials that statically charge as we wear them, that static is transferred to the rattle can when we shake it. Next time you spray something using them, try earthing the item with a piece of wire.

An interesting thought Mike, one that has never occurred to me to be honest.

Hi Rich, yes wet flat at the weekend, a few more coats then then wet flat again and some polish. Ordered some grey adhesive which will be here this week. A professional painter would probably find some fault but ,I'm just a man with a can !!:):)

Tony at 100 mph who can tell, and if they spend that much time looking at it when not moving they are trying to steal it, so don't worry...
