Installed new wishbones, lollipops with power flex bushings, and new tie rods . . . Hopefully i’ll Be able to drive it somewhere to be aligned:whistle:

Had a go at loosening the front brake lines, and the brake line fixing is stuck to the pipe causing it to turn . . .will snap off so ill tackle at the weekend, make a joint (now i know how) and install a new section of pipe to the stainless steel lines to calipers. Getting cold now, and dark sooner, i find myself using a head torch:hungry:

Excited, got the screws needed for hardtop fixing kit, fitted and then found the plastic covers to be glued at where the small screw holds it in place...ill add more glue then:nurse: another issue is i got gap, between the window and the rubber. It looks like the previous owners glass pressed harder against the rubber, might look into replacing, not sure if they (bmw) still do the part.o_O

@ZedHead try some Gummifplege rubber treatment to soften the rubber. It may then reform to it's former shape.

After getting the wrong order, the knob I’d had previously with yellow. I looked into knobs and saw a few reviews around so purchased one with a phantom gear=))

And today’s installation: nicely weighted, leather and shorter than previous one. Happy, anyone have a 6 speed gearbox I can install;)

Another trick with the window rubbers on the hard top is to install a smaller rubber pipe inside the original, which spaces them out to the windows.

Is there any instructions/pics/chats about the inner pipe install? Sounds like a good idea but not sure how to do. Would you take off the current on and then install with the pipe behind?
