Hi Brian I have a catering contract for a school of which all the students are from overseas as many of them are from the other side of the world they get 5 weeks at Christmas but only 2 days half term and a week at easter . Which means a nice long break for me and the staff...But we do put in numerous hours for the rest of the year

Hello Brian,

The Railway never stops, I have had so much on this year I've not taken much holiday so far.

It's nice to have a long xmas off but I'm one of those people (quite rare) that loves my job and being at work.

The best thing about being off at Xmas is spending time with the M. Dry winters day drives are great.

I presume that M is for ///Michelle, Mark;)

Keep working guys..... Got to keep the pension topped up!!!!
I retired about 10 years ago. Was very worried about switching off but it never really happened....
I work part time visiting supermarkets which gives me time to chat up the lady customers..... Life's good!!
Also have been working on cars and bikes for the past 55 years. I've got 6 bikes now in various states of renovation plus my Yaris (just failed it's MOT but I've replaced the rear brake shoes + drop links so should pass on a retest.) Bought my Z3 from a dubious character last March changed the engine, had the head skimmed, replaced the petrol pump, can't remember all the other problems but finally passed the MOT in November.
At 73 am I the oldest Z Roadster member?????????
As long as you can do what you told us, you will never be old! It's not important what is written in the ID, but in your heart.:)
Keep up the good work for many years Barry, together with us!;)

I finish on 18th and that is it. Will not be returning to paid employment in 2015 as I will be retired. Having worked in the same trade for fifty plus years my time is up. I am looking forward to a life of leisure which will include a fair amount of Z3 top down driving.
Wishing all Zorg members and guests a very Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
Mike (Metal Mickey).

Hi Mike, we wish you a long and happy retirement from our house. I'm more than a bit jealous as I am well ready to stop working for a living, unfortunately a few more years yet. Hopefully some of them part time though. Very happy Zedding.

Badman, what a nice thread you opened!:beer
Is so good to read about Xmas holidays, retirement and Zeding, at the end of the year!:)
Guys, (the free ones, or almost....), if you ever take into consideration a ride on the East EU side, let me know and we can prepare and I will lead you on few beautiful Romanian roads. Just get a bunch of 2-3 Zeds .......;)

Will still be working Christmas Eve till about 22.30 hope it's no later :(
Then back Boxing Day not too early in the morning I hope ......
But at least I've got Christmas Day off ;)
All work and no play for me this time of year it's the business I'm in ;)
But at least all the customers are happy this time of year ( well most of them ) ;)
Sounds like something similar that I used to do for 20 yrs Shelly, had to wear a shirt and tie even in the summer. Worked 15 Christmases out of 20. Could be same firm.;);)
