Well, back from the expedition and all I can say is, what a fantastic time. The only downside was, it was bl**dy freezing...lol. I have never laughed so much since I was a kid and what I learned about WW1 was second to none. It was well worth paying for the guide he was so knowledgable. Mary and myself would like to thank not only Barry, Mike and Sandy for organising it but also Shaun and Karen for making the complete brilliant holiday it was.... :ymhug:

Hi Everyone, What a trip! B-)
We can honestly say, with the utmost reverance for the the devestating loss of life involved in the battles at Ypres & The Somme, that inbetween the sobering moments, we have never had such an hilarous holiday ever. Our guide Ian, took us through the whole story from the first shot fired in anger to the inaugration of the Thiepval Memorial to the missing in 1937, his knowledge bought the battles to life and without his guidance, we would have missed so many places and so much detail.
We would like to thank our fellow Expediton members for making this cruise such a really special memorable occasion. :ymhug:
