Having allways pimped up my cars, i like your roll hoops.My youngest daughter is only just starting on the path.

This is why we worry when our kids pass their test ,so lucky they have walked away and not hurt anyone.My daughter passed with no majors or minors and thought she could drive, my other daughter had 11 minors she did the same, we warned them we threatened them but we still let them have the keys

You, as a parent, have to let go at some point mate but it sure is a worry where cars are concerned.

@miller1098, hopefully they know where they went wrong and will have learned a hard lesson. And will be more cautious in future. I think we all fit the category of having greyed a few parental hairs in our day. Glad no one was seriously injured and accidents are just that! JIM

My Son also did his car in the first 12 months after passing his test it's no wonder insurance is so expensive.we didn't claim on ours as the cars were not expensive and luckily no one else was involved,I remember them saying they wanted to spend more on a car and not letting them even though it was money they had saved,now my daughter is glad to be driving a £200 skoda

I was 18 and at college near Southwell Notts. when I trashed my mini. I was over the limit too I have to say, by only 8mg but over is over. A very costly experience but thankfully no injuries.

Well maybe, my choice.

Own up time for me Tony & H T, I've got the same bars minus the cross brace, only after purchase did I realise there not really man enough so decided to keep originals but just couldn't bring myself to change back, let's face it BMW actually sold Zs without roll over bars,so what about them APPLES. Bit of bling makes this old car mad Zer happy as LARRY. Wouldn't sell them on with the motor. Makes me wonder about insurance company though.
