Still did not answer my question...
moot point ‎(plural moot points)

  1. An issue that is subject to, or open for, discussion or debate, to which no satisfactory answer is found; originally, one to be definitively determined by an assembly of the people.
    • 2009, Barney Hoskyns, Lowside of the Road: A Life of Tom Waits, Faber & Faber 2009, p. 155:
Exactly which of the songs on Small Change originated in London is a moot point.
  2. An issue regarded as potentially debatable, but no longer practically applicable. Although the idea may still be worth debating and exploring academically, and such discussion may be useful for addressing similar issues in the future, the idea has been rendered irrelevant for the present issue.
Until we rebuild downtown, whether we build more parking spaces is a moot point.

    Point two is applicable here.

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease let it end :arghh: In or out, what will be will be.

Has anybody mentioned the Romans recently?

Can't see the EU stopping you building more parking spaces, but, hey ho.....:D

No but I know that the Roman's took a dim view of citizens who neglected their democratic duties. Flogging was involved. If I didn't think he would enjoy it, with his European tendencies, I'd suggest it for hardtop.

Yeah, he'll do a bit and then Bugger off to fetch a car from California !! =))=))

Tony.

Not saying that you should Mike, I'm saying that you could. I know someone who lives in the USA who has dental treatment on the NHS whilst over here. Sad state of affairs really. As for the failing NHS, it's only failing because we have a big a drain on it from people who haven't paid into it?

Tony.

ps. The person who comes over from the US did pay into the NHS for many years before emigrating, so as far as I'm concerned she has more right to that than any other who just pitch up here in England with their hand out.

Tony the reason the NHS is failing is because the Trust now farm it out to FM Companies who dont give a sh-t.. Leicester Trust kicked out Interserve because of under performing and the Queens and City Hospital in Nottingham have put Carillion in place and they are just not repairing anything unless they are threatened. We were awarded the Fire Contract for 4 years last October to look after the City Hospital and Clymac to look after Queens but they have not paid either of us. Clymac have refused to go to site so they have awarded it now to Hesis, we are only attending to fix the faults that Carillion have been put under presure to fix. The Carillion contract across both sites is £200 million over Five years. Yet the Trust are happy for them to do this as it was probably costing them twice that amount so the Trust are turning a blind eye as they are probably saving about the same amount as what the contract is worth, so after the Five years the Trust will of made around a £200 Million saving

And still they say they don't have the funds to pay extra nurses and doctors, so if that's true the drain on the service must be huge?

Tony.

That's fine. Just don't force the EU on me so you can enjoy it.
I think you read me wrong @JAJ278 I vote OUT! Yes while I still live here I want as far away from the "Ivory tower crowd" as possible. If I choose to live in another eu country later in my life that is my choice.

If the Government do what they have been saying of doing all along and that is to Privatise the NHS then i feel it will end in disaster as all these big FM Companies are only in it for the Profit they can make. So they will cut as many corners as is possible to maximise that profit i have seen it first hand at the Hospital. Nothing gets fixed unless it is absolutely necessary. They have lost more maintenance staff in the 2 years they (Carillion) have been in charge than in the previous 5 years. I know staff who have left without other jobs to go to just to get out as they were getting so frustrated with not being able to offer the service they were once proud to do

No problem with that.. That's your choice, I vote out and let us get on with it here.

I'm righting myself out of this thread. Frankly I'm fed up with it! Please don't tag me in on it anymore or respond to any of my previous posts. There are a lot worse issues in the world than whether we stay or leave the bloody EU! As @Andy McDonnell has said, what will be will be. I've had my gut full of it!
Rant over! Enjoy your evening everyone. :)
