On the way to Santa Pod yesterday had a shattering experience in more ways than one.Water pump bearings went which then pushed the fan out of line which then smashed the shroud the fan and the rad. Spent all day researching and decided do away with the fan and go electric. Ordered a Mishimoto rad and 12" slimline fan.As the car is now at the garage I cant check but does any one know if the 2.8 has a temp sender unit in the rad? I think it has in which case I can have the electric fan wired to that if not I can order a separate unit which has a probe that fits into the fins on the rad and is fully adjustable.
Many thanks Bruce

Called in garage tonight only problem they have is how to wire in the temp sender and the fan. I have scoured the net and hard to find any info on GB cars as they have no aux fan on them. Looked at the wiring and it looks like the wiring is in place to have on fitted so hopefully it will just plug and play..

Really glad you have your car back on the road, even better that you seem to be getting better MPG.

Cheers

Bruce,

I'm tempted to have a go at this now my fan blades disintegrated again. What electric fan did you order, and do you have a link.

Need a new rad, so if I can't find a cheaper replacement I'll probably go with the mishimoto from your link above.

Ta, Gary
