Well in 2040 i hope my zimmer frame has batteries if i am still around
I bet the treasury had a big collective intake of breath after this strategy was released. There will be a think tank workshop tomorrow. Can they tax shoe leather and shoe soles? How will the Government of the day replace the billions they will lose from the lost revenue levied on petrol and diesel when it doesn't collect it anymore?
Tony.
What about all the cargo vessels at sea, have you seen the crap that they pump out? What about aircraft? biggest polluters there are.
Have you seen the crap they bring us?What about all the cargo vessels at sea, have you seen the crap that they pump out?
Think I've bought more than my share of itHave you seen the crap they bring us?
Haven't we all!Think I've bought more than my share of it
You must right mate, don't think an exhaust pipe would be too efficient under waterDon't they have electric motors on subs? Run off batteries they charge on the surface by diesel powered generators, or have they improved the technology these days?
Tony.
They will collect replacement revenue through electric cars, two wheel machines - including cyclists? How will the Government of the day replace the billions they will lose from the lost revenue levied on petrol and diesel when it doesn't collect it anymore?
Tony.
Nowt mate. They have some bio fuel wagons out there now through Tesco and Stobart but they are not popular. They have limited use as the tanks are small so the trucks are only able to do localish work. Waste of bloody time. We use diesel because it works! Simple really.Seems all this is targeted at cars.
No mention of all the waggons clogging up our roads.will they be electric.
C'mon Grumps wot you heard.

What about LPG?We use diesel because it works! Simple
We have a FEW of those as well mate but again it's not favoured over here at all. Still hasn't scratched the surface with carsWhat about LPG?
Never hear anything about it in the UK.
All the city buses run on it over here and have done for years.
Eco friendly
LPG reduces greenhouse gas emissions. A car with 8.0 l/100km and 20.000 km annual produces 3860kg CO2, 16kg CO and 2.58kg HC while LPG only 2640kg CO2 (31.6% less), 11.21kg CO (30% less) and 1.87kg HC (Hydro Carbon, 27.5% less).
LPG has better combustion rate than petrol and diesel. Driving with LPG helps to extend the lifespan of vehicle’s engine. Autogas is also non-corrosive and without any additives, with a higher octane rating (102 – 108) than gasoline.
You will save on fuel if you are driving an LPG vehicle. It is generally around 45% cheaper than gasoline or diesel.
As far as the info goes, loads, but they keep it for themselves as they still import. How much oil is there left in Texas Hardtop?
