the green Z1 was parked next to us, chatted to the owner a few times through the day. it was a rather nice example.
He'd bought it from a chap in Scotland who'd had it on the market for some time but couldn't get anyone to travel up to view it! Sounded like he negotiated a bit of a deal, although no numbers discussed.
Apart from having the seats reupholstered, and a few repairs to panel mounts, its as he bought it.

(panels being plastic, the mounting points become brittle and snap off but there is a rear for them apparently - learn something new every day!)

The red Z4 to the left of the Z1, the chap had bought from new after having a Z3 previously. He recounted he'd had a problem with rough running. Garage told him he was driving it too timidly, "use sports mode and give it a thrash occasionally". Which he now does and its been fine!
Well you don't need to be told twice do you!

We had a Z1 owner on here from Hucknall near Notts @brilie. He met us at Ollerton to go to Shepshed last year, not seen or heard from him in ages. Don't know if he's still coming on the forum. @Saxdaddypops.

And the coup parked next to it, wrong color though.
Yes indeed, it of an odd colour, My mates dad had a new 190e in that colour on an H plate.

Thanks to Mike and Sandy for again organising this annual treat, nice to meet up with everyone and see lots of nice cars. Had a very wet run back today so there is now one very dirty Z3 sat on the drive!

Yep, that was for a 30 minute flight. You could buy a half decent Zed for £3,000 and it would last a lot longer than 30 minutes. Wouldn't be quite the same memories though;)
Not too much, if you compare with the price of a registration plate...it's flying history!
