I drew the short straw and got the M1/M25/M3 route to collect one of the boys on the way. By the time I'd crawled down to the M3 the bit round Winchester was ok. It was slow then to Bournmouth though. The Stockbridge bit off the A34 reminds me too much of the route to our head office - I couldn't bring myself to go that way but it would have been the better choice.OK, You will get caught at the bottom of the A34 and onto the M3.. You will then crawl through the New Forest on the A31. You might get lucky, but as its a bank holiday weekend you are more than likely to get caught up. The attached is a get around the bottle neck route ok.
It avoids the main issues of this area.. Just don't share it out too much.. Can't be having all you trouble makers on my decent back roads.
I suppose you deserve cake after all that!!!I drew the short straw and got the M1/M25/M3 route to collect one of the boys on the way. I should have followed Gail!

The views from the beach and tower are great.Well a walk to the headland and the beach is rewarding enough. Even if that oil donkey is hidden up on the side..
