Don’t you just hate that cracking sound when the hood goes down

Sorry, but look at the bright side: at least didn't broke when you where in the middle of a journey!
10 days and it will be new again! If it will be so simple for us...;)
Mean time try to protect the interior against water!

You can use it manually to control the speed - you just turn the T handle on the pump (under the carpet on passenger side above rear wheel area)

I really hate it when she is not looking her best. Even the most trivial problem gnaws away at me until it is fixed.

Looks great still in the pics you posted from today! No one would ever know when it's under that tonneau

just out of interest i undid the hydraulic ram nut on my 2.8 its only one nut easily visible.. as its still takes quite a force with the valve open on the pump in the boot. with the ram connected, I prefer mine manual anyway and dont think I be rushing to reconnect it soon.. it all works fine electrically just you have to get the ignition on foot on brake and and press the button and still have to make sure theres a crease in the window so i usually end up getting out the car anyway to check...

I noticed my rear windows seem to be getting pretty stiff probably due to cold weather i always lower it down gently and never force it...

if the weather is good on the day you going to swansea i may even pop up and see you in the z3 its only up the road from me..

That’s a pain. I always let the car warm up a bit inside first before lowering the hood on cold days. Glad you are booked in to get it sorted too.

Always use a length of foam pipe lagging laid in the even fold of the screen when lowering the top. Easy to do when the roof is half down. Obviously run the heater or use a hot air blower (or the hair dryer from the boot of the 1.9's)* :inpain: until the screen is nice and flexible in cold weather.

*(The hair dryer bit was my usual blunt attempt at humour and any offence to 1.9 owners was unintentional !)

:drinks:
