Nice read regarding the suspension upgrade, and good for you admitting you got it wrong! You hit the nail on the head, you learn from your mistakes. Once the oh S*!t feeling has gone away you look at the problem logically and learn how to fix get around the problem.

Well done

P.S. dont be shy to ask for help, nobody will laugh (well…….. not until you have it fixed anyway).

Now I have a week to decide if I want to get some custom made wheels ordered to arrive by November, manufactured in China.

Below are a few mock-ups that Craig at www.extremeoffsetwheels.com has done for me. Great guy, very good prices!

The top picture is my favourite, but I'd get them with chrome inners and White outers, with the measurements as follows:

5x120 72.6 CB
17x8J ET33 Front
17x8J ET18 Rear or 17x9J ET30 Rear

These measurements should mean the outside edges of the wheels sit perfectly flush with the arch on my facelift zed, without the use of spacers.
David for what it's worth I like all of them, but number two does it most for me, go with your own instinct its your Z. Rha, Roy.

@David has requested I split these posts from his initial welcome posts so he has a progress thread he can keep up to date. I've also tidied up some of the chatter from the thread as well.

Just collected this from the Post Office. It was an extremely generous 'saw this and thought of you' gift from @Ragtop all the way from America. Thank you so much Ron!

I'm sporting a bit of a trucker beard currently, so it suits me perfectly! ;)

I'm sure there's a sheep joke embedded in the background of this picture. @hardtop @miller1098 Fill yer boots!

Just got home with these pretty little things:

Somehow Scarlett has managed to tread on quite a substantial bolt which is now stuck in one of the rear tyres (and it's still holding air!!!), so I was forced into a bit of an impulse buy with these Beyern's. Found them on eBay yesterday, collected them today!

Still keeping with the white wall look, the plan is to Plastidip the dishes in white, and if I like them, after a while I will make the change more permanent!

Will take a few snaps tomorrow after work of them fitted, but it's bed time for now!

That looks familiar...(goes to check his car is not on bricks...!$

Ok my cars not in bricks, congrats on some nice wheels!
Very rare on a Z still, I've not seen another in UK.

What size are those?
If 17in you can get away with a higher sidewall to give you more white wall space.
If they 18's it may be a bit tight on the front for higher sidewalls. You can just increase the ride height and trim some of the splash gaurds if they rub a lot.
No issues at the rears though, I've even put in 12mm spacers at the rear (I have 18in 9,5j at the back) and fit fine with 255's. Could easily run wider and higher and have no issues still.

Look forward to seeing how they come out.
I'd test some colour on the spokes, I love white multispokes.
Have fun testing colours!

I think those wheels will suit your overall concept very well. The "spokes" are right up there with that image.
