Sean what make is it ?Guys, I have been cruising all morning in glorious sunshine giving my dashcam a test only to find that I can't upload them to my laptop, the files are AVI and I don't seem to have anything that will play them, what do I need, cheers
Plugging the camera in mate, I'm not sure why the vids I took in the house work but the bigger files won't, I'll look into it some more. Are you taking the card out or plugging the camera into the PC mate. Some of the cheaper ones you need to plug the camera in and it will load the programme onto your PC. At least that's what I've found. Window media player works with all my cameras and on Shirl's laptop too.
Tony.
@Sean d You may find that the files are corrupt i had a couple of the cheaper Chinese dashcams and the files were usually unplayable. You also usually need a quality SD Card. I moved to the dearer Dashcam as i got fed up of either bad files or the laptop just not playing the files since i got my Dodd i have never had any issues at all
Mate, I live in the coutryside and my speed is that of donkey, it will take a week to upload the file, its cooking as we speakNot quite, you need to "upload" to YouTube. It can be a quite lengthy process, be warned.
