Probably going to stay black, though a red on Arctic Silver might look good.
.
Looks bloody good on silver, have a google you’ll be sold!

But so does Navy blue...

And then you can swap the interior to match the roof.....
More work/cost (fun) ;)

Lots to think about now!

Hood will have to be black or red as I’ve just fitted a red extended leather interior and Z3M centre console.

Thinking about the red roof now

Does anyone know if the Soft top shop in Croydon hoods have relief pockets?
Other than possible security risk, am I right in thinking the pockets stop buffeting at higher speeds?

No relief pockets in the 3 we have had from there, although I believe he may be able to make a roof with them in but it may cost extra.

Not sure but that's another new reason for relief pockets that I haven't heard

I have also heard these as the single reason
  • they are there to help the roof fold
  • they have to be fitted to the ones that have a headlining
  • they are to allow the pressure to disperse when closing a door
  • They stop the wear lines on the roof when it is folded.
These are mine
  • they are fitted so that people can make me worried when I didn't specify them on mine
  • they keep your hands warm when pushing the car
  • they allow condensation to dry up inside the car
  • they take tension off the window helping it to relax
  • they relieve you of cash if you insist on them being fitted

My belief is that the most correct one is that 'relief' suggests the pressure from closing the doors.

My roof was from Croydon. I think he does the relief version but I have had no problem with mine in 5 years

I bought mine from them a couple of years ago. The standard hood didn't have the pockets and I paid an extra £25 to have one made with them in.
