Convertible roof colour change

I'm contemplating changing the colour of my convertible roof it is a black BMW Z3 and I'm thinking of changing it to a red has anyone else done this if so what type dye and the end result did you get, or should I just leave as is. My mind is dancing with it

With it being Black, i think it will be difficult to get it red, If you try it have the money for new roof in your back pocket.

Red hoods look great on black cars, however, I dont think you have much hope in dying a black one red as red is a very transparent pigment,

Thank you both I was having a great dance inside my mind till you two turned up to the party I was thinking a nice sexy red, the music was playing in the background and then shelly and Steve walk in and p*** all over my parade, shelly says leave it out trev and Steve talks about the voo doo word money, thanks guys it's staying black lol
