That's what happens when you tag along with retired types Steve ..............................No worries it was always worth a try.
If the zed wasn't so addictive I wouldn't do so many miles.

Tony.

Not heard of them so can’t comment but can say MS Amlins as an insurer were a pleasure to deal with in a claim and didn’t push the premium up heavily. Agreed value and on drive parking with commuting.Following this , I approached Classicline for a quote, very competitive but they are putting the cover with "ageas" a company I never heard off, and comments on TrustPilot are very variable.
Has any one had experience of dealing with them if a claim arises.
I am considering changing this one car from nfu as they will not do agreed value quote is not much different
Just thought I'd update on this. Classicline wanted even more than Manning at £1250 for agreed value. A-Plan quoted me £410 without agreed value, but with an assurance that in the event of a total loss, any value would be negotiated with the underwriter against 'market value'. I declined this.I just enquired with Manning about an agreed valuation of £6k and was told £1091 for the premium!
I'm late 30s, driving 20 yrs, one non-fault claim, 9 yrs no claims. Apparently my postcode in central Newcastle is pushing the risk up.
Seeing as my current policy at market value is £450, I just was curious if a mark-up of 140% for an agreed valuation is in-line with the experience of others? I may have to give these Classicline chaps a call.
Did they put you with Agaes as they have quoted me.I am now with Classic Line for Sunny the Z3M
ERS with breakdown 3.000miles Valued £13k two drivers which one has a fault claim £302.40 not at agreed value as the market value looks ok at the momentDid they put you with Agaes as they have quoted me.
Interested as you have been inside the industry
Mine expires in April so I am ok for time
It is just the agreed value that appeals to me , otherwise would just leave it with other insurances with nfu, who I know are good on claims from my own experience
Hi BMBabe, interested that you declined 'agreed value'. A-Plan offered me a 'market value' policy and were the cheapest by a mile but I was a bit unsure. Does a 'market value' policy mean in the event of a total loss I could legitimately use, for example, current eBay and Pistonhead adverts as the basis for negotiating the value? As opposed to the underwriter just going with Glasses or similar? Problem with market value is you need to find adverts of cars like Yours at that time.Hi BMBabe, interested that you declined 'agreed value'. I see the rationale behind that, where the value might be a bit more ambiguous than a more 'desirable' model (no sleight intended!). This was basically the logic I followed in going with market value in the end. And yea, hopefully all academic!I personally use agreed value for lower value cars, ie our Z3 M44 1.9 (£3K) to ensure reasonable replacement value (don't want a £950 settlement offer if the worst happens). Have not got agreed value on the MC as I have seen cars sell from from £20K to £65K. With high mileage on it I will argue the toss should the worst happen. Have a BMWCC valuation of a few years ago and lots of current pictures as backup. Hopefully all just academic!![]()
That sounds good but I don’t know where on my neck of the woods to get a insurance valuationYou boys are getting robbed.
I insured mine last week for £148. Albeit i have to join the great britain bmw club at 45 for the year. But it seems to have alot of discounts and a monthly magazine/
I believe it was footmanjames, guaranteed at 3k with 2000 miles ( i barely use it ).
