Bring Back Clarkson, Yes getting a bit boring, but what else is there on telly, if you are the type that will sit and watch all the reality shows then "Get A Life", at least Top Gear makes me chuckle, its the only program I make time for to watch, Clarkson says out loud what a lot of people are thinking, The media prints a lot worse. More PC crap from a country and people that prides itself on freedom of speech, dont agree on hitting anyone but innocent until proved guilty comes to mind.

I'm not sure if anyone can remember the presenter swaps before it settled down with Clarkson, May and Hammond. They had that chubby chap - Jason Dawe - for a while, and it was a short while before they dumped him for James May.

The problem is not so much replacing him, but who they replace him or the team with. They would have to restructure the show completely, so I personally think it would be best to kill it off completely rather than watching it flounder around for a season with a random set of "celebrity" presenters chosen purely for potential ratings.
 
So 'Mr Marmite' has been asked to appear at a disciplinary hearing next week when his conduct and alleged punch-throwing will be discussed. That is the correct procedure, It does not and cannot imply guilt.

The same procedure will no doubt have him suspended on full pay, implying innocence until proven.

Widely differing opinions it seems (not just on here but other social media too), many want rid even if he didn't do anything whilst others want him re-instated, even though he may have hit a colleague.

The BBC would surely have an Unfair Dismissal type case on their hands if he was sacked having been cleared of the allegation and would also have to deal with shouts of "turning a blind eye again", were he kept on having hit someone on the production team. Either way it's hard to see the two individuals continuing to work together.

There's also talk of him walking anyway, regardless of the outcome of the hearing. This will no doubt mean he turns up on a rival channel.

It should be an interesting hearing.
 
The beeb wont sack him he will be back within a week, it is the beebs top earning show and the most watched "fact" based show in the world.
 
He's in a win win situation, he's a part owner of the Top Gear franchise which BBC have been trying to buy him out of for years.

If he does walk I think Guy Martain would be a good replacment. But until then bring him back the blokes a hero to our old freedom of speech ways in the old days.

Oh no he isn't......they sold the rights to the Beeb in September 2012.
 
Yeah I remember that article I was lead to believe he sold a fare chunk of the rights not all.

That said don't the beeb pay him 1 million a year for the show?

He's the lovable rogue that says what he thinks, it's a shame he's also an arrogant d**k. But you can't have one trait without the other.
Personally I think he should "Do a Tiff" and start a Sky One "6th Gear/Overdrive/<insert something witty>" on his own.

I think a better analogy would be "Masterchef without Lloyd Grossman".
Top gear has been around so long, do you watch it for the cars or the oaf in loafers?
Me - I prefer the cars...
