Sorned my M3 today, its going in my parents garage and may not get seen again for a very long time, its a sad day :(

I enjoy the odd day through the winter where the sun shines and all is well with the world. The only difference with SORN is that I save the Tax. Thats a small and insignificant cost compared to the rest of ownership.

The fact that it's cold is neither here nor there. I wrap up, wear a woolly hat and gloves and enjoy the bright crisp days. I end up searching for a time to take the car out. Like a fix!

I also think it does the car no harm to have the wheels turned and the engine and lubricants warmed.

It is also a pretty bizarre thing that if you really look after your car and it gets to "a certain age" with very little mileage, it's actually worth in real terms not an awful lot less than if you'd used it and worn the darned thing out. The save it and cherish theory means someone else gets the enjoyment and not you.

Each to their own, but I own it and I want to turn those wheels!... It's mine to enjoy, even if through the winter the number of times is small, it's still worth being able to have the wind across my scalp!

Enjoy year round Zedding... It's the only way!!!

:)

I use mine all year round, all be it not so much in the winter but it's great to have a blast on a nice day. It's a car and it's meant to be used not stored in a garage.

It's 15 years old Richard, needs to be looked after and put to bed.

That's what garages are for, so you can use your car , and if anything goes wrong you can take it to them and have it fixed , :)

mines staying on the road..........i'd rather put a 1000 miles on over winter than leave it sat there.....its what the heated seats are for

Most 15 year olds I know want to go out partying!

It's a modern car Mark, it'll stand a run on a winters day and probably be the better for it. You won't have all those after winter storage squeaks!

:bashhead:

Give it a go, you'll not be sorry.

:)

:stop: You naughty lot, putting Mark under such pressure, will you all be there to pick up the pieces when he does as you ask, and it all goes Pete Tong?

I didnt say how long it's sorned for.

It was on the road last winter on the odd dry day.

It will be this winter. :p
