Ah well each to their own. to me nothing better than getting the old girl out on the open roads around north wales during the winter, roads are quite, and the scenery becomes so different to the summer months, but still stunning.

Looking forward to our runs out during the winter months. Packed Lunch in boot along with a hot flask of coffee, (and in my opinion) some of the best scenery that can be had anywhere in the world.

Glad i dont sorn, took advantage of another nice day

I've done 3k in mine this year. Did 7k in it last year. My tax runs out end of this month so might sorn it.
Problem with the M is you can't really enjoy it when its frosty/damp roads in the winter..
It takes ages to warm up the engine oil and you can't really use the power when it is due to no traction control..
It's not fun driving an M like a granny, might as well be in the daily

Yep great day out today around North Wales today, top down all day.

I had a great run around the Peak District - didn't see any other Zeds though:(

i dont go of milage per year...its service lights and rear tyres that i watch..:p

I woz there .didnt see u .
Pic above taken just outside Longnor.

Ha, I was at Ilam Hall, Matlock, Bakewell, Buxton. Pity we didn't know we were both there - could have had a meet up

Rang my insurance broker today and got it confirmed that it is not a legal requirement that your car has to be insured while it's on sorn.
Was told the obvious really that if you don't insurance then you accept any loss that could occur.
Asked about third party fire and theft, would there be a saving going that route and no, was told that this cover in most instances works out
more expensive for some reason!!
So there we have it, the only saving is the road tax and running expenses of course, and keeping the mileage down.
My road tax is £220 a year and runs out end of December so I suppose if I did that at the end of October till the end of April 2014 I would save
about £110.....................................................................................................................Nah I could not go open the garage door and not want to go for
a drive somewhere, even if its just to fetch the milk and newspaper.:coolsteer)

no sorning here!

its my "daily" so no choice really, am off to get some autoglym HD wax today and get a couple of coats on the old girl...old but still looks great, I'm thinking of calling her ......

Need to get out on a run Mozza...Been up to my eyes for the last few weeks new blue chip customer has now come on board, so have worked 210 hours in the last two weeks:hungover: need some leisure time now.

Had a week in the sun in Benidorm..middle of October What an eye opener:eek: could not believe some of the shows that they put on, Seen Sticky Vicky (the original she really does need to retire) but her show is really tame to the shows on after midnight, had a great time though, 1 euro a pint in the smaller bars:D We were out until 03:00-04:00 in the morning:drinks: Going back next year..

Hired a car for 5 days, don't laugh it was a Fiat Panda:rolleyes: got us around though...and only cost £100 for the 5 days (£50 for the hire of the car and £50 excess waiver)

I have to say I am very much of the same opinion despite mine staying in the garage last year for at least a solid 3 months I would find it hard not to have the option of not being able to get the ///M out of the garage now and then for a quick blast. Mine expires end of Nov so not sure what to do yet, I may sorn it for 2-3 month but then I will have the problem of do I tax for 6 or 12 months, 6 is to short and 12 too long.!

Oh hell decisions decisions !!
