100 laps of his garden at a mere 99 years old. Resolute and determined to do his bit.Top man. Inspirational.
Think someone calculated it's about 1.5km in total distance for the 100 laps.It looks a pretty big garden too....
A socially distanced guard of honourAmazing also a nice touch for the Forces to give him a guard of honour
Give him a Knighthood I say. Can think of some awards that should be revoked if necessary. Some recognition, however small in Queen's birthday honours in June maybe.
It's very similar to mine!I love his biker gear
Hi Jack your post reminds me of my elder brother who passed away in December 2018 at nearly 90 who i can just see on his first bike in about 1949 a O.E.C. with strange front forks and a 700c JAP engine wearing the same sort of trench coat, goggles gauntlets and wellies, no pipe of cap, then in 51/2 he got a Triumph speed twin which I can remember having a ride on many times, great fun as a nipper, would no let kids go on bikes that youing today thank goodness. Keep well all of you good folks. GeoffI've got visions of my grandad on his old rigid frame 500 Norton. He wore a canvas trench coat, leather gauntlets, flat cap worn back to front so that the wind wouldn't lift the peak and blow it off, a pair of wellies and his pipe stuck in his gob upside down to keep the rain off his baccy.
