Can you Adam and Eve it

You have to turn this situation around and think how you would feel if someone parked a large white van outside your house. Parking isn't great where I live and I always try to be respectful when parking if I can't get in 'my own' space, it really annoys me if I can't park outside the house because someone else has parked there. If I was in a situation where I had to get up and move my own car to get another one of mine out then I would do that, just so it keeps the peace with the neighbours as I know how annoying it is when they park where I normally do. I don't use their spaces so why should they use mine? It's just about respect, maybe you could have had a word to ask if they mind just on a one off occasion. But then they could have had a word with you before dumping cones out. It looks as though your quite lucky and have a very large drive and double yellows outside your house? Not everyone has this luxury and are limited for parking which could be why the neighbours are a little annoyed. If they have ample room and not enough cars to fill the spaces they are doing it maybe because you never asked, even though it's not illegal what you had done.

It was parked at 23.00 until 7.45 :p
No one was parked their , so it shouldn't of caused a problem :)
We choose to live here as we knew we could make a big drive ;)
So that when visitors come around they could also park on our drive :)
But on the very rare occasion 7-8 times in 5 years we used the lay-by ;)
For a few hours :)

I live 200 yards from a primary school and parking for an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon is a nightmare, but I new this when I bought the house, as long as no one blocks my drive I'm cool with it, after all I don't own the road, as long as the big white van is not parked in that spot every night and only on odd occasions then there shouldn't be a problem. Only my opinion, 6 cars your not a enviromentalist! :D

PS thanks to Shelly for liking those posts

What's wrong with doing a ' like ' :p

C'mon peeps, let's just call it quits, we can just blame the Romans and leave it at that
:(

They weren't all our vehicles :p
We have one car each , and B also has his work van :)
It's only the second time B has had the white van ;)
Last time he brought it into the drive :)
But this time he left it in the lay by as it was 23.00 hours and he'd just worked 17 hours :)
And if it was in the drive Alan couldn't get out for work in the morning ;)
And B need the extra half hours sleep ;)

Whats wrong with doing a like of someone wishing untoward things on others?

What about ......
Reap what you both sow
That's not nice

That's exactly what we done by doing a large drive way :p
And B only parked the Van their late at night and it was gone early in the morning :)

I'm locking this thread until I get chance to read it in it's entirety and figure out whats been said to who and why.

I don't like complaints, and from what I've briefly seen things have been said that are not in the spirit of what this place stands for.
