Can These Wheels Fit?

Hi everyone,

I currently have a technical question/problem regarding a set of alloy wheels for my Z4MR.

They are a set of 18" Alpina "Softline" wheels. Their "ET's" ls 47 and 50. I am utterly stupid understanding offset's and making sure I don't blow a ton of cash on something that even with spacers etc, won't fit.

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me work out if I can fit the classic 80's - 90's Alpina wheels to my Z4M.

Not sure which Alloys they are, can not see why not these 18" Alpina wheels are fitted on a 3.0 E85

Sorry these are AC Scnitzer

According to the site, it seems they are 5mm and 20mm closer to the strut, which means I might need a spacer for the rears, as the Alpina wheels seem to be 8J all round

These are the Alpina wheels I am wanting to fit,

Post the offsets which should be stamped on the insides of existing alloys and Alpina alloys.

Very nice, classic Alpina

I use to own an E30 Alpina C2 2.5 for about 5 years, which is where my love for these style of Alpina wheels comes from.

When I helped a YouTube channel do a Alpina Roadster and Z4M Roadster comparison video, I got to see the modern wheels up close, which I will admit look way better than they do in pictures, but I still like the classic style better.

I've never been a fan of the standard wheels that came with my M, so I was hoping that I could find a set of these wheels to fit my roadster, as at least one of my wheels needs replacing, but all 4 of them are not holding up to corrosion too well. Because of the different offset my M has over the standard Z4's, I've been struggling to find something that would fit.

Do you (and the others on here) think they wheels will look ok on a Z4? I want to stay with an 18" rim size just so I can have a little bit more comfort with the higher tyre wall. Also I am keen to swap from the Michelin Sports my current wheels have, over to Falken's as I have been using them on my cars for over 10 years off and on, which I find to be brilliant (and better) all round tyres that come in at a better price.

The wheels for me will really pop against the black paint on your Z4M

Not too dissimilar to the ones on my old Z4 ;)

I am totally on the same page @Paul Rice with having a light/bright wheel to give contrast against the Carbon-Black paint on my Z4M. Luckily the Alpina wheels tend to work with most paint colours.

When I use to own a Subaru Impreza P1, the standard wheels were by OZ and were a grey colour, but they also came in gold (naturally lol) or white.

I really like love these type of multi-spoke wheels and if I can't get a set of Alpina's , I was thinking about using these as a possible option. I would guess they are going to be pretty easy to get at a good price, if the offset is workable. I would have to most likely get them refinished in white, so it might end up not working out as any better value for money.

I've never really been one to swap the wheels on my cars (I've only changed wheels on 2 cars I've owned before, over 12 years ago!), so I've really been struggling to find something meant for a Z4M, as most of the UK based websites only ever show the CSL and Alpina Roadster/Z8 style wheels and even then they are never in stock and are about £2k without tyres!

Not too dissimilar to the ones on my old Z4 ;)

This may sound odd, but they seem more like a Z3 style wheel to me? I love how they look on your Z3 an awful lot.

Prefer the Alpina wheels unless you don't like cleaning. The Oz ones look so much easier to keep clean but if that was a problem you wouldn't have bought a black Zed?

I agree, the Alpina's are much nicer wheels than the OZ's. I really like the centre section you get with the Alpina wheels and with the locking caps, just give that added layer of security against them being stolen.

Due to the damage in my lower spine, I'm unable to do any of the cleaning myself as it's very painful and difficult for me to bend forwards etc to clean my car, which is why my Poppa, who use to have his own car detailing business for 20 years, does all the cleaning of the families cars.

Once we have moved from Oxford to Hereford in a few weeks, I will be able to get myself a set of new wheels and tyres next month, so hopefully I will have a set of Alpina wheels to put on and share some pictures of.

Loved the wheels on my Alpina, best thing about the car TBH and I'd have a set tomorrow to go on the Z3

Seeing those version of Alpina wheels in the flesh made me like them a great deal more than before. They do look stunning on yours and does make me think that getting a set for my M might actually work really well,

I was really torn between getting an Alpina roadster and an M. If the Alpina had the LSD and same steering as the M I would have gone for the Alpina.

Damn, I'm thinking about going with your style of Alpina wheels now.
