OK
@Z3I I got done early today so I've been to see the Dakar. I recall further up the thread saying pictures can hide a multitude of sins, well these pictures certainly do!
It's not a nice car at all I'm afraid. I'll bullet point things so I'm not here till bed time.
1. Yellow car red roof!

2. Front bumper doesn't fit correctly either side where it meets the bonnet.
3. Drivers side door mirror Base is new and unpainted. ( Why wouldn't you do that?)
4. Large dent above the drivers side headlamp.
5. Yellow paint on passenger floor pan where the front edge of the sill has been painted (badly)
6. Huge crease in the drivers door a foot long surrounded by small dings.
7. Several dings in the passenger door.
That's just what I saw at a glance. I didn't even bother to open the bonnet or the boot
In the cars defence the interior was very tidy, it had 4 excellent Avon tyres and the alloys were mint.

@gookah says it ain't a cheap car but if its a very long term investment and a car is right for you then maybe it would be worth it but this certainly isn't a car I would recommend to anyone on here. It's basically been valeted and put up for sale.
And to finish off the guy selling it was an arogant tosser! When I explained I was looking on behalf of someone else he said, "you can have a quick look but I'm closing in a minute" it was 3pm!!
Well, rellay a big thanks for that. It sounds just as good as the car that I saw in Christchurch, basically, pulled into the lot, given a quick clean, then to await the punters to see. Most will pick holes in it, but then, theres always one who has no sense, and bingo! asking price!
Grim realisation of how it is, I knew a trader once who always said that he buys as cheap as possible, sells as high as possible, and waits for the punter to discover faults that he then only fixes the cheapest half, and sells at "trade". I'm hoping a private seller turns up. Thanks for looking! I owe you...
Grumps.
