The stairs are going to turn out a treat, how do you intend fixing the treads?
Glue,screw and the tread will be cut into the string
Never mind all this technical stuff about stairs, what I want to know is who's been peeling sheep lately, or did no one sweep up!!

If I walking up those stairs @miller1098 I'd have to walk up the centre like a tightrope walker

Wow it's been a while since I've updated and looking back at the first page we had hoped to be open in the autumn, still not open but getting very close.Been making a few more bits of furniture .
this has a twist I hope as I've ordered some mirror tint glass to go on the front and I'm hoping that when the TV is off it will be a mirror ,fingers crossed
The chapel is near completion, fold down table,bath in its place,another oak bed and the most nerve wracking job I've done instal in the glass balustrade ,phew

The folding table is looking great as a wall decoration and is doing the job as a strong table too.
I like very much the fiber of the old wood!
All these handcraft made give a strong personality to the house.

Clever boy, if the mirror does not work, build a couple of doors (with heart inserts) hinge on either side and then your guests can open them up to watch the TV

I bet stuff this isn't cheap but would do just what you want if the mirror tint glass doesn't work. I fear that might just transmit too little light from the TV when its light.

I know what your saying,I've bought some mirror tint film that you can get in different levels of privacy I've just guessed £12 the toughened glass for the front £45 ,there has to be no light ingress from around the screen ,it's worth a punt .if it works I'm going to be well chuffed.i might try a different level of privacy tint without loosing the mirror effect

Need to make sure theres enough cooling/ventilation for the electronics too. I know tvs are much lower power consumption that they were but if you restrict the airflow it will overheat quickly.
