Hey mate yes it does to me, apart from the plastic piece looks as though it's coming away from the steel part?
Disconnected Steve but thanks for the thought. If it wont shut at all now does that mean that boot light on ?
Nice one Grumps, knackered you boot lock so it won't shut anymore but mended your passenger door lock.....The passenger door didn't work on the central locking. It does now.![]()
It wont shut mate at all. It's like it's not meeting the catch when you close it. I've adjusted it every which way but it won't have it. Trip to Tonys on the agenda I think. At least you now know where the door fault is thays a result you sticking at the boot lock till fixed ?
You know what to use Grumps. You know you've got some self adhesive Velcro...It wont shut mate at all. It's like it's not meeting the catch when you close it. I've adjusted it every which way but it won't have it. Trip to Tonys on the agenda I think.
That would do the trickOr duct tape![]()
As a temporary measure only..............of courseThat would do the trick![]()
I changed the boot lid on mine and had these rods out when I swapped the locks over and it wouldn't shut at all. Moved all the latches/striker plate loads of different ways and it was still the same. Took out the rod that connects onto the lock itself (in your picture) and had a play with shortening and lengthening it, screwing the threads in and out which made it better. Finally got the right adjustment and it works perfect every time now. It's just trial and error taking it in and out to adjust it until its right. Just make sure the boot doesn't get stuck closed. The rod from the button to the catch has a "Z" bend in it and if there's no adjustment at the catch connector you can make the rod longer by straightening out the Z slightly, trial and error is required. Do close the boot until you've tried it several times though.
Tony.
