Bit of bling for the weekend

Cheers Niall, my only concern is drilling into the floor panel as I am not sure what is behind, I will fabricate a couple of brackets for it
There is only a void behind the "lump" in the carpet Sean. We need to find my fitting thread @GazHyde , if you have time please?

Tony.

ps. These are the pictures Sean.

Hope you will post a thread mate I want to fit these myself but not had the guts to have a go at the foot rest mod :( would be great to see how you do it.

Have some in mine too Sean. £35. 5-6yrs ago off eBay.

Had to cut the width down on the footrest as it put it too close to the clutch, also moved the brake pedal one to the right a little to help toe and heel changes but you'd have to be carefull if you've got large size feet or you'll hit the gas peddle when (normal)braking hard. Have to warn any other people who have a drive if their any bigger than size 9.=))

Roy.

Thanks fro that pal, nice and clear now, never thought of using a piece of angle
Had to fasten the piece of wood to it to maintain the right angle for your foot to be comfortable. I screwed it to the "carpet" with very long (21/2") and coarse wood screws. I applied some double sided carpet tape just before final fitting, did several "dry" fittings before I was happy mate.

May be just the 3 pedals for me. The footrest looks a bit tricky

I think he meant hinged from the floor rather than at the top end Ken?

Tony.

Thanks Tony, I didn't think of that! I was thinking he had been driving something with a hand accelerator! There are cars with different arrangements, I used to love the Renault 4L with the gear stick through the dashboard.:)

@t-tony, where might I get some angle alloy, I've been digging around the workshop all day and can't find any, I do have some angle plastic off a golf bumper that I recently removed though.

I have some left over Sean, if you let me know the length of your footrest pedal I will cut you a piece off. If you're wanting it for weekend I could meet you, say, at Caenby Corner tomorrow evening?

Tony.
