Well today was the day for the install and luckily the weather gods were in my favour ( no Lime Green Mankini’s in sight @andyglym ).
So started at 10am and finished at 4pm. Needless to say I took my time and had a great time pulling the M3 interior to pieces. Again my OCD came into effect and the label maker and fabric tape were in full use today.
First some before and after photos:
And now the progress photos. First the centre console had to cone out and the red leather armrest, USB port and cables had to be swapped over:
Fortunately the new centre console had a vent cooled dink holder (great for my travel chocolates )
Next was the more daunting task of the dash removal. Slow and steady was the pace of the day, to label connectors, tape up wires and carefully mind not to scratch the new leather.
