Bertie Jaffa's //M

So..... its been a while since I updated the blog... mainly because I havent done much since... however, some of you may remember that I had a big dent put down the passenger door on the passenger door a while back and then after that, those who came on the peaks rally a couple of years ago will remember that I bottomed out the front end on my final blast through the silly tunnel which resulted in quite a lot of panel straightening and respraying....

This was the dent...

Then this was the front end damage (picture doesn't really show the full damage)

Which then ultimately led to this...

And then finally she was back together and shinny again !!

So that has been it apart from cleaning the headlights etc and general maintenance until today when this arrived.....

Z4 Wheek Refurbed.webp

Yep... the slightly smaller z4 wheel.... It has to be machined at the back and have a small collar adaptor fitted.... and then it has been to Jack at Royals to be retrimmed, padded and have the M stitching etc...

Z4 Wheel Conversion.webp

I have only ever seen Southernboy do this conversion before but I think it looks great... can't wait to get it on over the weekend hopefully !!!

Thanks - Yeah I always have some issue with bottoming out. The front bumper has been resprayed 3 times now but this was the worst one - the wheels sank down a pot hole and so the whole car rested on the bumper... it actually snapped it in 2... only the grill held it together. The garage had to completely rebuild it essentially

Another trip to Scotland is needed to put a few chips on it
Looks great!
Cheers pal - Im doing the Scottish run on here in September if you're about...? Hopefully it might include some of the roads we did last time...

As for the stone chips from last time, I think the front of the car was marginally worse than my forehead after the stones that kept hitting me !!
