What about steam 2.0?
With a little bit of Fusion (or wood!) and Water you get alot of environmental friendly energy.
And the torque of steam engine is amazing.
And you can have hot drinks all journey for free and no stops required

You'd be looking at a compound steam engine of course!
And when you need to stop and pee after all the hot drinks?

I'm sure an evac system will be easy to find.:D
But really, looking at the cars from the beginning of the other century, on you tube, they are amazing.
On the other hand , nuclear submarines have almost the same basis: steam!:)

You might be surprised to know that Steam is listed as a possible fuel type on the M.O.T. List, you may be even more surprised the know I've never tested one . . . . . . . . . ;)
