Hot sunny day......I have a z3 .....so should have gone for a drive........

But with all the threads on garages and carports.......I thought it better to replace the shed roof.....

ON THE HOTEST DAY OF THE YEAR SO FAR.......:banghead::banghead::banghead:

Main support timbers broken and roofing felt leaking badly so it needs a complete new roof !,

Bloody hell those roof panels are heavy to lift off on your own

Upgraded roof beams from 50 x 38. To 100 x 50. That should stop them bending !!

Then clad them

Using thicker boards as well.

Just have to trim off the overhang with an electric saw and felt it now.....but that will have to wait.......

Big mistake not wearing a shirt today.........I am a cross between tanin and helrot red..........:arghh::arghh::bashhead:

Why didn’t I just go out in the car:eek:.???????

I had the windows to clean, the hedge to trim and the C-in-C's car to wash ....... went for an all day drive, got sunburnt :arghh:

Good effort though mate, hat tipped

The windows and hedge I understand......but going out when there was an opportunity to wash a car........=))=))

Its been too hot to work on it but got a bit more done yesterday evening.

Cut the overhang down with a circular saw......Health and safety right out the window !!!!!!!
Broke up the old roof and salvaged two lengths of timber to make the drip edge and fixed them on.

Its a bit early this morning to start using a orbital sander ......so better wait till later

Just need to smooth off a few rough edges before putting the felt on.....which needs to be done today as rain is forecast for late tomorrow
