Thanks pal, I am hoping to get a cat back locally as we do have a place close by, I did speak to them a couple of years ago but they seemed too pricey

Wheels look great Sean, £100 an absolute bargain! Tony Banks at Leeds did my exhaust and I have no complaints.
When asked the guy where he was, he said Telford, I said sorry its a bit to far but I may know someone that might want them, and asked him how much he wanted, he said £100, I said, I'll be there on Saturday 😁😁

I spotted a set of split BBS wheels on FB, the guy was selling his 3.0l Z3 and I could see the wheels he had taken off in his garage, I messaged him in June last year to see if they where for sale, I didn't hear anything until November, worth the wait though as I got them for £100 🤣, I have polished the rim and use high adhesion top coat on them, the centres have been done in light shadow chrome, I was never happy with my original set as the shadow chrome is almost black, the guy lived in Telford and mentioned that he had met Niall, @Nodzed, I think his 3.0 was black, I also treat the car to a brand new set of Avon bootsView attachment 215959View attachment 215961View attachment 215959View attachment 215961
You’ve done an excellent job on those wheels, they look great. I know only too well how difficult they are to refurb having had many sets myself and for £100, are you related to Dick Turpin? =)) 10/10.

I thought getting a spare set of style 55 wheels with tyres for £50 was a bargain- but yours for £100 smashes that!

The set I have on the car right now was a bloody nightmare, I snapped ten bolts whilst splitting the rims, on this set I used an impact wrench rather then a bar, I only snapped one and got it out with ease, I have seen these wheels go for a grand

When I see them I was going to chip him £20 but didn't have the heart, this is what I started with

Not far from me, wouldn't have given him £100 for them though

Far too cheap

I'm looking at getting a cat back on mine as it needed some welding doing last MOT and the cheapo back box I had a few years back is past it. Had to open it up as the baffles came loose and it's been welded a few times but still sounds great. I've had a couple of quotes for cat back, single exit and both were just under £400 which gives you a ballpark figure. One was Poweflow who seem to have franchises all over, they were cat back, single exit £399 and cat back, dual exit £599.

Thanks for that pal, when you say duel exit, do you mean an exit on either side or twin pipes on one side
I was quoted £700 for quads

When splitting the bolted wheels, they need to be heated in an industrial oven, this stops the bolts from snapping in 99% of cases. I’d say your wheels are definitely in the £1k bracket.

I should have said, we have an oven that we bake cars in after they have been painted, I baked them at 70c for 40 mins before I split them, I have done quite a few sets but the set where a snapped ten was pretty bad, I have set of 108s that has been sat in a corner for 3 years, when I split them I did the first 3 and only snapped 2 bolts, I got the the fourth and couldn't get one out, everyone either snapped or rounded, they must have been bonded in with some serious lick tight

Pipes on either side. I think I’m going to the place in Walsall, MIJ exhausts where my Dad got his done last year. He had pipes exiting both sides, the right side has pipes coming out from the back box to make the dual exit. I think he paid around £500 for it. He has his old dual exit in the garage still which he may sell one day, but that is only the back box, not cat back. See his thread for pics of the new one. Similar to what @yocky z3 2.0 had I believe.

I’m only going single exit because I have the aero rear bumper and I don’t want to cut the opposite side.

Edit. Here’s a pic of my dads.

I've gone off the Idea of quads because I don't want to cut my AC rear splitter
It was yockys 2.0l that inspired me to get them
