You put some exhaust gum stuff in the joint before you put it on? Funnily enough I was going to ask you what you used in a PM today.
No no no, water is aweful stuff mate, its very difficult to correct it before applying the top coat, solvent base coat goes off a lot faster and any imperfections can be flatted and repainted immediately, some water base products are silicon based and tend to tare when flatted.
If you have bled the brakes correctly this could be a result of the bigger pistons in the rear calipers. I had a longer pedal when I put a BBK on the front of my Z3, still drivable but just felt different. Glad to see it back on its wheels though
Might just be a matter of opinion mate, also water base is quite thick to apply and needs to be done in a heated environment of 23c, it takes and age to dry and leaves behind a very thin coat similar to ink, which means your final prep before painting has to be very preciseWell I was given the water based advice where I had a repair done recently. Fat lot of stuff they know!

Hopefully it’s something easy, you have replaced the rear lines, maybe it just needs bled through again, did you have the pipes off for a while? There is an option in INPA to run the ABS pump for short bursts to help bleed a dry system.
Yes it was fully drained for a few weeks so could well be the pump, the plan is to bleed the system again and then bleed at the pump with the ignition on, failing that it will have to be done via INPA, thanks for the input pal, its appreciated

Did you crack the unions at the ABS pump with pressure on mate?
Not yet pal, thats the next visit, but leaving it for now as I am up to my neck in body work and don't want it on stands again
I get that mate, if it's mobile at least you can move it if you need to. We sometimes get a long stayer in at work and they can be a pain.
