An Awesome Day!

Rear beam bush is number 3
View attachment 98323

Lots of threads on here showing how its done. A lot fit the polybush type which is a lot easier, the original rubber ones need a press to push them in.
I'm finding this an interesting read @t-tony, @Mint, @Rha and @Jjim and wanting to know more about my car, what are your thoughts on this, please? Could this be contributing to the rear noise by any chance?

Doubt it, unless they're the original rubber bushes and have totally collapsed allowing the beam to sit directly on the bottom metal plates. I've only seen one car that bad and it knocked bad over severe bumps and I didn't notice your car doing that.

Tony.

Cheers, Tony.
Tomorrow my car is going in.

Hi fellow Zeds.
Today took a change in direction and my car is now going to have the passenger side rear bearing changed tomorrow.
More, after then.

Hi everyone and @t-tony, @Mint, @Rha and @Jjim - my beauty is in having the passenger side rear wheel bearing done. The garage guy has been a short spin my car with me at the wheel and said it was hard to determine which side the noise is coming from; he also said he hopes it's not the diff. Not surprisingly, so do I! Anyway, he's changing the passenger rear bearing and I'll report back later on.

Good morning fellow Zeds - and what a fabulous Friday morn, it is!

I have news! @t-tony, @Mint, @Rha, and @Jjim - new bearing fitted = no noise!!! Horray!!!

Sorry, I didn't let you know last evening: I was under the weather with a terrible head cold to contend with.

Well, we got that right then Dawn. I'm confident that new oil in the Diff. and the bush changed will see a marked improvement.

Tony.

I'm both thrilled to bits and massively relieved that it's not the diff. Thanks to ZedShed Midlands HQ's expertise, firsthand knowledge and investigative Zed powers...will flattery get me an appointment soon?!? :) Please.

Has this cured all the noises or just a bearing noise? Good to hear another problem sorted.

Great news Dawn. Pleased to hear our diagnosis was correct. Onwards and upwards
Me, too. Fantastic news. Thanks so much. I'm sooooooo relieved that it's not the Diff!

Good result. They aint bad in the Shed are they

Careful Roy, or they might just pitch up at my house if you antagonise them mate. I might not have enough mugs.=))=))

Tony.

It's ok Tony I'll put Lake Fish on top of their rads. Not @Grompy, though, he'll just leave it till it's cooked then devour it,
Look how much was on his plate last time round. Bloody gannet. ;)

See the plate bottom right that was my Lake Fish. Skinned but not eaten.

You weren't too keen either as I remember.Had to add a little wine.

You wasn't happy when I told you I was a vegetarian and couldn't eat it, thought you was going to throw it at me.

Seen a big change in you since you've retired, know now you would throw it at me=))
