An Acrobatic Day Today.

How are you feeling now Mr D 🙂
Ok I hope 🌞

That’s good to hear Mr D 👍

Resolution. Harriett is considered to be a Cat N write-off (absolute nonsense in my view, she'll be back on the road at minimal cost and I'll be keeping my eye out in the bike community). Anyway, it is what it is, on the upside I recieved £4900 for a replacement bike, a good deal considering Harriett cost £4850 new (17/18 model on a 19 plate with me as the first registered keeper). For just £200 extra I have purchased Holly, a newer model on a 19 plate with 3k miles less on the clock. I'll sell the topbox fitting kit as I have mine undamaged from Harriett so should be even. Welcome to the fleet Holly, looking forward to the ride back from Blackpool tomorrow 😀

Yes mate had one on my last bike

Shirls dad told me how he lubricated the chain on his Bonny back in the day, lot of faff but it worked. Heat some grease in a flat tray till it melted and lay the chain in it till it cooled. Wipe off the excess and refit. He did say that sometimes Dot's legs did get a bit sprinted.

Haha. I used to have a Suzuki GSX1100 back in the early 80's (which is why I now have a steel pin in my right leg). Being young and stupid didnt bother too much with stuff like lubrication. Did notice once that the chain looked a bit dry, all I could find was some molyslip (engine oil additive) so I used that. Seemed to do the trick. Mind you, we only used to get 6,000 km's out of a rear tyre, and a new chain every second tyre. I wont say why . . .

So yours looks fine Andy

The chain is spot on mate, brand new and suitably lubed. My chain gets lubed within an inch of it's life, this one will too

You don't use that green cow lube then Andy?;)=))

Tony.
