Just received another parcel from coopers BMW with a few goodies just wondering whether to get a new windscreen or not now is there any kits available to get rid of light chips and marks?

Does your car insurance not cover this?
It does over here and a new windscreen would only cost me Euro 100.00 fitted and no problem with my no claims.

They use people like this.......

Well the screen needs to come out as I pulled off the rubber surround to spray it. I have a new rubber but might just get the screen resealed and see what it's like.

if you do get a new screen i'd go for a bmw one. i had a pattern one and it generated a load of wind noise, bmw picked up on it straight away at the dealership.

Ok thanks James it was BMW that quoted me £200 but I have a friend that may be able to get me it cheaper. Thanks

Re: My 2.8 Alpine White III Progress

While the weather was half decent at the weekend I managed to get the interior plastics painted. The blue I had mixed up is a bit shinier and darker than I wanted but hey ho, I did ask for matte but it'll do as zedfest is coming fast! I put the dash put back into the car tonight and took a few pics of what the console will look like.
I've also extended the wires for the on board computer to relocate it at the rear of the ashtray, next thing is to cut the wires for the asc switch and put a new block on to match up with the facelift switch. The guages I have fitted are prosport and are oil temp and pressure, and a voltmeter.

Re: My 2.8 Alpine White III Progress

It's looking great. That's why I chose to cover my console because I couldn't find a Matt paint that I was happy with. Yours looks really good though. Super job :)
