ABS & Brake warning lights on dashboard

Recently had all the brake pipes replaced - after a couple of weeks, I now have the ABS & Brake warning lights on the dashboard

I put it back to the garage and they put it on the diagnostic machine - the following codes were shown

1. 5E40 - Steering angle implausible
2. 5E32 - Transverse acceleration signal
3. 5DF4 - System voltage <9 volts
4. 5E30 - Transverse acceleration sensor

They seem to think it is the lateral acceleration sensor at fault, but this costs >£700

Anyone had or know of this problem and can offer any advice?

Wheel sensor fault throws those dashboard lights.

Is the battery good ? It's advising poor voltage which could trigger the others ?

I would clear the faults Nero and see what comes back, I have seen a few transverse acceleration sensors fails, you can pick them up second hand sometimes. Have you by any chance had any water in the passanger footwell?

Just done all my brake pipes as well. Also had several fault codes that had me confused, unable to clear them through OBD. Changed a speed sensor and ABS module chasing the problem. Took it for a drive twice (2 miles each) - still with fault codes.

Since all I had done was replace brake lines and pipes I was assuming it was a coding issue somewhere as I had turned power on and off with sensors disconnected or some thing.

I admitted defeat , first time I had a problem beat me and booked it into a BMW specialist. Drove off there with my warning lights mocking my failure in my face and then half way there (6 miles) , they all went out.... Specialist said nothing wrong , no codes.

So fully charge your battery and take it for a good drive. Never know your luck.

Thanks for the feedback - haven't been able to do much as the bonnet is stuck and I can't open it myself ~ new parts ordered

1. The battery is a few years old and I did have a problem a few weeks ago when it went flat and I had to recharge it
   It has been OK since, but maybe worth a quick charge
2. Car is dry inside
3. The codes above, were after a reset - codes could not be cleared
4. One thing I did notice was that the brake fluid reservoir was overfilled - so much so it was level with the lip ~ I've removed some fluid to get it to the max mark
