It does denote if you do not want to be located the apps not for you and you actually provide nothing other than a group name and then technically the group get to see but adding security to the group would be good, so only invited members of said group could actually gain the information.
I suppose again private messaging could be used to spread a group name and everytime we used the app change the groups name?
Logging out removes you from the map its pin point accurate to street .

I'll talk to my developer job-seeking lay-about graduate son what it would take to put something together

While out in the Peaks yesterday we managed to find a few roads which had been 'surfaced dressed'. Which is basically a thin layer of tar and loads of stone chippings chucked on. After a while a road sweeper comes along and sweeps up the surplus chippings. So, we meet one of the said road sweepers on a single track road with high hedges on both sides. I pulled in to a passing place and waited for it to pass. It took up the full width of the road so it was only when it got level with my front bumper did I realise there was a huge amount of dust being blown up. We got covered as I had the tonneau on and couldn't close the roof. We just had to sit there and wait. We were absolutely filthy and the inside of the car was too. :( More cleaning to do...
Oh no that's rubbish mate. I'd have been rather annoyed to say the least. Long as there was no damage done. :)

Don't think I would have been impressed - at least with an electric roof you can get it closed quickly.
I would have thought you'd have no problem getting the company involved to pay for the cleaning and clothing damage to be honest - It seems somewhat dangerous chucking all that dust right into someones face! I don't think they'd contest liability....They were clearly not taking account of the safety of the public.

No there was no damage Dave, we and the car were very dusty:(. All clean again now though;)

Ian, had I not got the tonneau on I would have closed the roof. Never mind no damage done. :)

But, time is money
They don't know you might have all the time in the world to correct their annoying behaviour.

True Ian, I can't do anything now as the dust has settled - pun intended=))

Sounds like the same sweeper on the same road I encountered too. Crossed over a little bridge onto another single track with high hedges, had to reverse back down hill to a passing place where I was shortly joined by 4 motorbikes all trying to escape the bellowing monster, same scenario as I too had the tonneau on and couldn't raise the hood to keep the billowing dust out  Bet he had a right good chuckle to himself
