Washed and waxed the z3 yesterday for the launch of the new 2 series Vert at the Country Garage and pick up door entrance covers. Got a space on the right handside of the showroom and the z3 was by it self and it got the most attention, which made my day.

I didn't like the 2 series in black, I preferred their silver 2 er coupe. Should of taken a photos.
I think I need a new fuel sender for the petrol tank because I swore I had 1/4 quarter of a tank but when I went to get petrol it was reading half a tank.

Here's the new entrance strips

Sill protectors are looking good Hugo.

I didn't know there was a launch event on, I would have headed up there, i've always liked the 1 er coupe, I wouldn't mind seeing the 2 series versions, and your Zed obviously. :)

Bavarian have a m235i in White with the M Performance kit which looks really well, just like this.

Sort of fixed my seat belt holders with a bit of heat shrink from a how-to guide on here.

Had the z3 up in the air and found the diff was leaking. Found a how-to guide on how to remove the rear subframe and diff. Not sure if I'm going to drop the diff out myself and paint the Subframe etc myself or get someone else to do it.
Found out you can fit a new fuel pump and sender unit from behind the driver seat.

Hi Hugo, your heatshrink fix does the job but some "proper southernboy" items would look better ;)

I have saw pictures of these repair Z's from SouthernBoy several times, my seatbelt guides are like the day they left the factory, not faulty in any way, yet I still fancy fitting these ! That's how nice they are I guess.

I might buy new seat belt buckle holders from BMW, their £18 each and I've found a how-to guide to fit them. While I've got the seats out I'll get the leather doctor to fill and dye the seats but that's a long way off.

Contacted the dealership about the z3s leaky diff and their coming to pick the zed up and hopefully fix it under warranty. I would love a 2er courtesy car.

BMW aren't fixing the leaky diff under warranty so a guy who works on the classic cars is fitting the seals and new brake pipes on Friday.

Last Wednesday an old woman drove into the side of me at a junction and damaged the side panel and scrapped the door. Her insurance is paying for it so I'm getting the panel replaced on the otherside as well due to it rusting.

Not having much luck with this car.

Hang in there. Things are bound to get Better. Very few of us bought a car without some sort of curse attached! JIM

Think positive you know who damaged the car and it's being fixed and no rust or chips on those panels. Diff is being sorted and spring is just about here.

Hope you are back on the road soon.

Got new diff seals fitted on Friday with rear brake pipes and such a difference to the brakes. Must be good brake fluid.

Gave the z3 a good clean for a forum bbq at a new tyre place yesterday not far from home. I went to a Country park and decided to take a couple of photo's.

The driverside wing should be here tomorrow and I might be able to get it fitted for a Dubshed at the weekend, the biggest car show in Ireland.

Left the zed in yesterday to get the accidient damage repaired and got it back at midday today. Seems to be a good job. Heater resistor has gone again so its booked in to get fixed after Easter.

Best find out what is causing the resistor to blow so often. Make sure they search all your wiring for blistering, cuts, etc. that's not a good thing to have happening. JIM
