Birthday tomorrow and so I got new rear disks and pads. Painted them blue at lunch time to match the callipers.

As you might of read on another thread I've ordered a c110 scanner and adaptor with service reset tool of ebay. I was planning to get a longlife exhaust which my mate custom makes but I needed the rear brakes and probably new tyres in the new year. He has really good prices on Yokohama's with amount he buys in.

Rear disks is a job on my list of todo's they perform ok but they don't look great at the edge and centres.Fronts have been done at some point so the rears a must.
Looks a top job

I like that colour, nice touch.
Just a tip about the paint on the mating surface of the brake hat and wheel.
When I had my alloys done they painted the mating surface and the fronts become firmly (very very firmly) stuck to the brake hat after a short time.
Not sure if the same problem can happen with the paint you've applied as it probably a lot thinner than paint/powder coat on the alloys but just thought I'd mention it in case.
It was a real pain to get the wheel off, literally. Not a pleasant experience!

I put copper grease on the face and hopefully that will stop it happening.

To be honest its not a good idea to paint the mating surfaces, it can cause wheels to come loose as well as have the opposite effect. I would definitely remove it while it's still soft. You will never buy discs with any coating on that face.

Tony.

ps. By the way I love that colour and was thinking of doing mine blue on a Sterling Grey car.

Got the rear brake fitted on Tuesday and the handbrake adjusted then last night my drivers door handle went. This morning I went to couple of places to see if it could be repaired but it needed replaced. I was told the BMW specialist I went to in the summer for a couple of thing had moved to the next town, I thought he had closed altogether. Got his number and he is going to fit the handle but I had to go to the dealership with identification to order it. I forgot how great the z3 is on the motorway... Motorway Muncher.

The handle is £145.60.
