2016 Calendar - get your images in ;)

Which style of calendar do you prefer (see images in 1st post)

  • Full sized pictures - I like to see the Zeds!

I know some of them are old now as Sophie is silver but i will miss her when she is gone on Friday so would be great to have her in a calendar :)
 
Far too many fabulous Zed photos to choose 12 from.

Glad I don't have to make that decision.
 
Running the risk of stating the obvious here but.............aren't the last 12 winners of 'Pic of the month' the natural choices? Maybe with some snow and a robin photo-shopped on for December :thumbsup:

I thought that was one of the reasons for running that competition.

That's a good idea.

The winners were voted for independently.

Why should the mods pick them!

In the main POTM entries are heavily used in the calendar, but sadly not all winning pictures are suitable for printing for a variety of reasons. The competition has never been specifically linked to the picture competition.

A lot will depend on the quality of the image file (biggest factor), ability to crop the image without detracting from it's composition, orientation of the image and so on (can't fit portrait images easily on a landscape calendar). There are also a lot of awesome pictures which get submitted which people don't actually enter in to the competition, but generally upload somewhere on here. Finally the competition hasn't always run every month (which reminds me I need to close this months competition and sort the voting thread!).

Understood but certainly where possible it would seem the natural choices.
 
I've often joked with @board when trying to put the calendar together each year that I could do a page a week calendar easily enough! Poor sod gets to listen to me going on and on about which pictures to choose...
 
Maybe we could have a photograph of Ashbandicoot Z in the calendar :p

Gail has posted a couple already, but would be happy for anyone else on the day who took photos to supply other ones.

Sorry to disagree, but there are many members out there with decent photos of their Zeds, who haven't entered Picture of the Month, but deserve consideration for the Calendar. ;)
