I'm shocked all the time when I remove the plugs and I see it so clean! I'm used to see them Braun velvet , like for carburetor engines...=))

You have done great with the bonnet catch; I have also one corroded and it doesn't look good on the car. The secret of good looking car lies in details.

Thankyou, I think the plugs are on the light side as I do tend to drive it quite hard, I'm hoping to get the engine bay in to showroom condition and then do the underside and running gear

Your car looks one of the best on the forum mate, along with the gookah clans it's right up there.

Ooooh look what arrived today, just getting the discs ready to fit, etch primed and high temp painted 2 of them, might get the fronts on tomorrow but I also have to paint the calipers and back plates. Got a bargain on the brembo pads, Eurocarparts list them at £90 for front and £65 for rear,
I got them at trade for £35 for both sets =))

Well that was a long bloody day, got the old calipers off and they where a mess, took an age to get them to a decent standard, got them painted and on the infra red and they just wouldn't cure I waited and waited and finally after 3 hours cooking they where just hard enough to handle, the only issue I had was getting the piston back on one of the calipers, in the end I had to take it off again and use the vice,
Now the problem is that I am not sure I like them, I wanted a deeper yellow, they have grown on me a bit and look good when approaching the car, I think I am going to buy a set of rear calipers that I can do at my leisure and then its just a simple swap over, more picks to follow with wheels on.
