How to fix your BMW Z3 Rocking Seats (changing the bushes/bushings)

It took about 4 hours to do one seat and i had a lot of trouble fitting the final 2 cms or so of long screw back but the dreaded and very annoying rocking in the passenger seat is gone!

Excellent step by step guide with very useful photos. Many thanks
This article was a great help to me, first home repair in 20 years! A bit of extra work to reconnect the links to the electric drive worm but a bit of thinking and got it all done.
Thanks

Thank you, thank you, Zedonist. My seats rock no more. Your instructions were spot on, from the proper tools to the glass of wine to celebrate our success.
Very well written, many thanks for this guide. I actually did this job a year ago but omitted to submit a review.
going to do my upgrade following these instructions.. look clear and concise
Excellent article! All problems I had were of my own doing. If you read and follow all directions, step by step, you'll be in great shape. Especially the part about moving the seat all the way back before removing them. Very helpful step! :)
i will be doing this job on my 2.8 this weekend, and i found the instruction very clear and helpfull
this info worked to perfection
Excellent article, well illustrated and easy to follow. Thanks Jonno
Thanks a lot!
Great photos and process flow. Electrical connectors vary from year to year, but this write up helped a lot to understand the rest of the R&R. My seat no longer rocks!
Great article, helped me out. Ordered the parts, got the job done cheap and neatly at local (Lagos, Portugal) workshop! Seats back to tip top condition!
NICE ARTICLE
I own a small repair shop in Portland, Oregon. I printed both this article and the factory tsb. Our tech followed each step as outlined and illustrated and found this to be the more the more helpful of the two. The pictures in particular were better than the factory drawings. Thanks very much.
