Newbie. Just purchased 96 z3 from a dealership specializing in Japanese Domestic Market Cars. Due to very strict rules on the Japanese industry cars cannot be older than 15yrs and must meet punitive registration regs every 3 years. These cars are often very low mileage. Our 96 had 36,000 kms. Virtually a new car. However owners manual is in Japanese so if anyone out there has a 96 z3 manual in Pdf. I would appreciate a copy. Thanks.

Welcome @Art Gecko

Another Canadian on here! @oldcarman will be pleased to have someone else "local" to him ;)

I've attached a PDF copy of a manual to this post that a member supplied me a few weeks ago (I still haven't got round to sorting out a file library yet!)

Just shout if you have any questions.

Gary

Welcome!! Glad to have another Canadian onboard. I have a printed manual if that's of any assistance as you work your way through your car. I'm just outside of Pine Falls, Mb. And my car just arrived from UK. yesterday. Being unloaded from the ship as I write this. My brother has just arrived from Nanaimo to his summer place where he and his other half will spend the next 5-6 months. Then back to Nanaimo for the winter. This is the forum to get answers and to know people so ask away, there's a lot of knowledge and friendship to be had. PM me if you want. JIM

Welcome, you have not mentioned the snow ;) Nice shiny Z by the way.

Welcome from Wales, Art Gecko. looks a lovely well looked after Z..

Not sure what it looks like, my friend is clearing customs for me and transporting and storing it at his home until I can fly out and drive it the 2500 mi home. But I'm certain the work you did will be exemplary and well worth the money. I may have to make small payments until I clear the bill but I'm sure you understand how hard life is when you're on a senior's pension and it's a toss-up whether to buy food for the kid or pay for the drugs that keep my wife alive. Will make every effort to send even a smallest of amounts every month as I am so grateful that you took the time from your busy schedule to help a stranger in need and so unselfishly gave so another could enjoy. Thanks, JIM

Welcome from me too Art Gecko.

Jeez Hornel, long time no type, how are you?
Being an honorary member of the EAC, are you still supplying Bad Boy with his favorite toys?....;)

Oh, by the way, he is no longer the President.......:D

Welcome Art Gecko, from me in Sydney, Australia. Before I purchased my Z3 in March, I too considered importing a car from Japan as I noticed there are very low mileage examples there at reasonable price. The Australian import duty and strict compliance requirements discouraged me from proceeding. Welcome again.
