Z3 97 Catalytic Converter

Just an update and also a thank you to all that helped me with my car! (I’m hoping this goes out to everyone who offered advice and guidance!)

So, early May my Z failed its MOT pretty epically!
But yesterday it passed! It was great to drive it again and to hear the news from the MOT centre Pikesleys.
It originally failed on;
Front spring
Front wishbone
Rear wheel bearing
Emissions
Headlamps out of line
Advisories;
Hazard warning button
Brake pads
also Needed an oil change and filter

I spent a pretty penny, but worth it to keep my Z on the road and keep having fun with the roof down!

thanks to everyone who contributed advice on where to get parts especially the catalytic converter (as it sailed through without a problem!)

Hi Ianmc,
I purchased an OEM Cat. Reading online many people promoted this as the cheaper ones are not up to the quality required. You can also replace the Lambda sensor, but I was only going to do this if the car failed its MOT. I paid £230 for my OEM one and the product code is B90414H the ‘H’ is the important part of the code as it deems it OEM quality. The company that produce these cats don’t sell direct to individuals, so you have to go to a third party seller which I had no problems with.

That's amazing for an OEM one, well done. The surcharge is normally more than that.
