Can you be more explicit about the installation as it could save someone all this grief in the future?

Tony.

You are asking me to subject myself to public humiliation, Tony. Here goes:

It was suggested to me that it was okay to continue driving the car without the ABS module if I took the precaution of removing fuse #38--the main ABS fuse.

A week later I received my rebuilt ABS module from Module Masters and installed it. After a drive I noticed that one of my codes had vanished, but that code 71 remained. I contacted Module Masters and they assured me that the unit had been fully tested before they shipped it to me. They suggested I take a look at the fuses. Having already done that three different times, I was skeptical what help that could afford, but went ahead anyway.

Opened the fuse box. Where is #38?? D'oh.

You would never have been in a position to over look the fuse if you hadn’t studied up hard and attempted the fix yourself. And you succeeded in due course learning more along the way.
