Rubber fuel filler gator

My rubber gator has split around the neck of the fuel filler. Is it easy to replace it? Surely not a rear wing removal as noticed in this photo!

Pingu, had some paint lacquer issues on the rear wing, so easy wing off and doing the filler gator at last. Perhaps see you at Zedfest?

I've just replaced mine.

You have to take inner arch liner off, bit of trim near the door, bootlid, rear light and wing panel.

I ended up leaving the original drain tube in place and fitting it to the new boot.

This video shows the stuff that needs to be removed. It is quite tricky to follow but it gives a guide

There are two clips between the bumper and the panel that I cut, not realising they were special clips Doh! However, apart from removing the bumper I cannot see how you are meant to get them out. So it's just cable ties and spacers for now.

Thanks Smudgemanuk, but the wing is already off which is the easy part. I need to know how the fuel filler gator drip pipe is routed, as my original is missing or sheared off. Cheers KF
 
Good to hear. If you look under the wheel arch the pipe comes out between the rear subframe mount and the fuel tank (I think it is clipped onto the fuel tank). That is all I know really as I kept my original pipe in place
