Hi All. My name is John Briers. I have recently sold my MGBGT V8 and joined the Z3M community.
My 2000 year Z3M has only covered just under 14k miles and needs some tlc! Im81 years of age and the MG was getting a bit heavy steering.
I’m looking for some fittings to secure the tonneau cover. Think they are called tenax fitments. I have the studs. Car is great. I live in Kent in West Malling

I used to own a blaze 74 MGB GT V8 which was a fantastic car. Hope you enjoy your Z3M,

Get it on a code reader..but remember even with low mileage rubber degrades with time. Air leaks are the most common culprit for rough running, then sensors. Fuel filter ever been changed?

As Ant said, John, you need to get the codes read. Without that you [and us] will just be guessing. There maybe someone close to you who may be able to read them for you.
But degraded rubber in the intake system is a good shout.

MAF sensor in air box tube,
common idle problem, if you car is hunting a bit, cuts out after initial start up but starts ok, idle is fluctuating high to low without settling down, and when you rev it, its slow on the uptake.

MAF spray cleaner
takes no longer than 10 mins to take off clean and put back, dont touch it with anything other than MAF spray
